This special formula contains a combination of the finest natural waxes that enrich, restore and protect any project. Long wearing, non-chipping; it won't fade or yellow as it preserves the color of your paints, penetrating and sealing in the beauty and craftsmanship of your work. It smooths the surface and toughens any finish that has been previously applied. It even buffs out any imperfections in the finish, such as visible brush strokes and it eliminates the sticking of one painted piece to another!

Perfect for use on wood as well as other surfaces, including gourds and furniture. J.W.'s Finishing Wax provides a tough, abrasion-resistant surface and a water repellent barrier of protection on either indoor or outdoor projects. Because it expands and contracts with the wood, it resists cracking and chipping and breathes with the finish.

Tips for using Painter's Finishing Wax

• This wax was developed with the decorative painter in mind. There is no better or nicer way to finish a project than a coat of wax.
• You would use the wax on your painted things for the same reason you wax your car to protect it. A coat of wax on a piece going outside definitely will protect it out in the weather.
• Apply the wax using fine steel wool or cut a 3M pad up and use that. ( We like the pad better as the steel wool breaks off and can get in your lungs.) Apply the wax in a circular motion. Let set for a few minutes, then buff the excess wax off with a soft cloth
• Let varnish cure 24 hours before waxing.
• If you want to re-varnish something that you have waxed remember that you must clean the wax off before re-varnishing.
