Formula II Creme Brush Cleaner is an effective cleaner for both oil and acrylic paint. It can even remove paint stains from clothes!

Formula II revitalizes old brushes (natural or synthetic) and restores the fine chisel. It is non-petroleum based and is non-toxic with a fresh aroma. The cleaner contains lanolin and is safe and kind to your hands. Dirty brushes can be dressed in Formula II and placed in a plastic bag for clean-up later. Repeated use will not harm your finest brushes.

Easy to use. First clean with soap and water to remove most of the paint or stain. Then work Formula II into the bristles to remove all traces of paint or stain.

  • Best thing about this product besides the fact that it works, is that this is a non-toxic product. This is important as most of us clean the brush by putting the brush cleaner in our hand and carefully work the paint out.
  • To revitalize dried brushes, coat the bristles with Formula II and wrap in aluminum foil overnight. This should soften the residual paint, which can then be removed with water. If the buildup of paint is really bad you may have to use this technique several nights.
  • In addition to cleaning the brushes, Formula II works to take the paint out of your clothes. Put a generous amount on the paint spots and let it sit for a few minutes, then work it into the fabric.
  • Formula II will remove black scuff marks from your shoes
  • If you are in a hurry, put Formula II on your brushes and drop them in a baggy or wrap in foil. You can then clean them later without fear that the paint which didn't rinse out will dry.
